Following a successful first week of the pre-season tour dubbed #KisiiEdition, Vihiga Queens Football Club (VQFC) is now gearing up for the highly anticipated culmination of their 10-year anniversary celebrations.
During the #KisiiEdition tour, the team engaged in various activities, including training sessions, build-up matches, and community service programs.
They offered voluntary and mentorship services at the recently concluded Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Ball Games, and concluded the tour with a 4-2 win in a build-up match against the recently promoted FKF WNSL local side Kisii Queens FC.
As the 10th anniversary celebrations, titled VQFC Kumi Bora Celebrations, approach, the Club Management and Technical Bench have planned a series of activities.
The schedule includes rigorous training sessions and local friendly matches on August 12th and 13th, 2024, before the team heads to Kakamega County for the #KakamegaEdition tour from August 14th to 15th, 2024.
The peak of the VQFC Kumi Bora Celebrations week two will take place on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, at Kidundu Stadium, the club’s home ground since its establishment.
The event will feature meet-and-greet sessions and fun festivals, fostering an emotional connection between VQFC team members and fans. It will also provide an excellent platform for brand exposure, networking with partners and investors, and increasing overall awareness of the club’s achievements.
