Tumaini Waliaula the Vihiga Queens current top scorer celebrates her past goal against Soccer Assassins

The FKF Women’s Premier League will this weekend take a brake to pave way for the The FKF Women’s Cup 2024 Edition Quarter Finals.

Having exited the cup at the Round of 16, Vihiga Queens will be shifting their focus on training ahead of their next Premier League fixture. Currently at Position 2 with 34 points, 9 behind leaders Police Bullets FC, the Legacy Makers have TWO matches in hand, which they anticipate to cruise past in order to narrow the gap.

Domiciled in the same County of Vihiga, Madira Soccer Assassins are next on the four-time FKF Women’s Premier League Champions radar, scheduled to be played on the 27th April 2028 at Mumboha Stadium. The Madira Girls School-based team who are currently battling relegation pose a real threat to Vihiga Queens, an encounter that the latter’s Head Coach feels should not be taken for granted.

“Madira Soccer Assassins sit 10th on the 2023/24 FKFWPL log and therefore am pretty sure they are also preparing adequately to avoid relegation. We cannot take this match lightly because of the stakes involved. A win for either side means saving or gaining from the situation,” NyamuNyamuh.

Top Striker Tumaini Waliaula is hopeful and optimistic of cementing her form and class for the golden boot chase, especially after having a successful outing in the previous matches; against Zetech Sparks away in Ruiru scoring once, and against Bunyore Starlets at home where she scored a brace.

“Currently my goal tally is 12, only 2 behind the top scorer Puren Alukwe who has 14. Am not giving up any soon. I have my eyes on the target,” The Vihiga Queens top scorer stated.
