The 2021 CECAFA Women Club Champions Vihiga Queens Football Club (VQFC) have qualified for the Football Kenya Federation Women’s Cup Finals after thrashing Kayole Starlets 3:0 in a semifinal match held at the Nairobi’s Ruaraka Complex on Thursday, 23rd September 2021.

Janet Moraa Bundi opened the Queen’s goal basket after scoring a brilliant second minute volley arising from skipper Enez Mango’s cross that found her unmarked.

CECAFA’s Most Valuable Player Jentrix Shikangwa doubled the lead with a penalty in the 23rd minute in the much dominated first half.

Five minutes into the second half, Bundi completed her brace with a fine finish, lifting the ball over the Kayole keeper after making a long ball run thus sealing the Legacy Makers 3:0 triumph.

The victory now sends Vihiga to the competition’s finals to be held on Saturday, 2nd October 2021 in which they’ll face Ulinzi Starlets who won 4:2 against Kisumu All Starlets.
