The countdown to the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League – Egypt 2021 has officially began after the continental body released the tournament’s groupings and fixtures.

Just like in the recently concluded zonal qualifiers, Vihiga Queens have been pooled in Group B of the tournament but this time round alongside South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies team, Asfar Club of Morocco and Rivers Angels FC from Nigeria, in what many have termed as the group of death.

Group A has attracted hosts Wadi Degla, AS Mande from Mali, Equatorial Guinea’s Malabo Kings FC and Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana.

With the competition kicking off on November 5th 2021, the CECAFA representatives have only 35 days to prepare ahead of their opening match against the Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies Team from South Africa.

All eyes are now set on the Legacy Makers as they strive to secure a slot among the two teams that will qualify for the semifinal stage of the 14-day competition.
