Kenya’s Vihiga Queens FC will face ASFAR FC (Morocco) in their second Group B match at the on-going TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League match today at the Al Salaam Stadium in Cairo.

After losing the opening match 1-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, the CECAFA giants will walk onto all out to try and register their first win.

“This is a must win for us because we lost the opening match,” the Vihiga Queens coach Charles Okere said in Cairo today.

The coach who made it clear this is the first real test for his team at the top level said they have corrected the mistakes commitated in the first match. “The team is up to the task to win the match against ASFAR,” added Okere.

The Moroccan team lead Group B after their convincing 3-0 win against Riveres Angels FC (Nigeria).

In Group A matches played on Monday Malabo Kings (Equatorial Guinea) picked a 3-0 win against Egypt’s Wadi Degla, while Hasaacas Ladies FC (Ghana) also defeated AS Mande (Mali) 3-0.
