The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) has wished Vihiga Queens FC success in their TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League 2021 campaign.

Vihiga Queens FC will take to the field later today against Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies team in a Group B match at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo, Egypt.

Auka Gecheo, the CECAFA Executive Director said yesterday that in Vihiga Qieens they are sure the zone has sent worthy representatives. “We are rallying behind Vihiga Queens and wishing them a great campaign at the Championship,” added Gecheo.

Vihiga Queens FC defeated Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Women’s team in the Zonal final 2-1 in Nairobi to qualify for the inaugural TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.

Eight teams from all the Zones in Africa are taking part in the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League which kicked off yesterday and ends on November 19th.
