2023 Kisumu County Secondary School football under-19 champions Nyakach Girls High School will today, 2nd March 2024 host Vihiga Queens for a friendly match.
This is a much anticipated game going by the rich histories that the two teams boast of.
Vihiga are the four-time Kenyan Women Premier League (KWPL) champions whereas Nyakach goes into memory books as one of the schools to have produced top names in the Kenyan Women football, amongst them former Vihiga Queens goalkeeper Lilian Awuor who plies her trade in France.
The match is part of the ongoing preparations by the Legacy Makers as KWPL enters homestretch.
As for their counterparts, it comes at a time when plans for the commencement of 2024 Secondary school games are in top gear.
Queens will also face Gideon Starlets FC in another encounter that will go along way in boosting their fitness.
