Preparations are in top gear for the upcoming Inaugural CAF Women Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers to be hosted at Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani and Nyayo stadiums in Nairobi between August 28th 2021 and September 9th 2021.

The tournament has since attracted eight clubs from the East African region who will battle it out through group and knock out stages culminating into one winner who will represent the region in the CAF Women Champions League to be held in Egypt in the course of the year.

Group A of the tournament comprises of PVP FC from Burundi, FAD from Djibouti, Lady Doves from Uganda and Simba Queens from Tanzania.

Kenyan representatives Vihiga Queens have been pooled alongside New Generation from Zanzibar, Yei Join Stars from South Sudan and Ethiopia’s CBE.

Vihiga Queens opening match of the tournament will be against the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) on Sunday, 29th 2021 at Nyayo Stadium as from 4:00 PM.
