In a series of continued build up matches in preparation for the next fixtures, Vihiga Queens on Wednesday, 20th March 2024 played a friendly match against Vihiga County League Men’s side Waingo FC where they lost two nil.
Head Coach Boniface NyamuNyamu in his post match analysis pointed on the diversity, combinations and inclusion as a targeted approach in his strategy for build ups matches. Nevertheless Nyamunyamu feels that the girls gave their best considering the fact that they were facing a men’s team.
He also committed to lead the Technical Bench in resolving the pointers noted in all the build up matches.
“I must say that our approach in adopting some permutations and combinations are taking shape now. We are convinced in the order of selection going forward. Altogether, as the VQFC Technical Bench, we have noted the deficient areas and we promise to work on them before our next competitive match,” Said the Tactician.
According to Captain Maurine Ater, the girls are psyched up and ready for the next outing. Ater also admits that the build up matches have played a big part in boosting their fitness.
