The head coach of Vihiga Queens, Charles Okere has said they will respect Nigeria’s Rivers Angels FC when they face-off tomorrow in the last Group B match at the on-going TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.

Vihiga Queens kicked started the inaugural tournament with a 1-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies (South Africa), before returning to revive their hopes with a 2-0 win against ASFAR FC (Morocco).

But Okere has said they will treat the Rivers Angels side with a lot of respect because they have not won any game and will be eager to prove a point.

“It will be a very tough match because Rivers Angels have a good fighting spirit. But we need to win with as many goals as possible to be able to qualify for the semi final,” added Okere.

The coach said he hopes the team members will wake up in good shape to be able to get a good result against Rivers Angels FC.

Meanwhile in Group A matches played today Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies FC settled for a 2-2 draw against Wadi Degla to top the log and qualify for the semi final. The second match between AS Mande and Malabo Kings ended in a 1-1 draw.
